PROJECTS

EDIBLE SEDER PLATES

We explored the symbols of the Passover seder by crafting edible seder plates! Spicy cinnamon candies for maror, Jordan Almonds for the egg...kids even made their own candy charoset!

HEBREW NAME PLACEMATS

Kids were introduced to the Hebrew alphabet and worked with their Hebrew names (or chose one for the project!) to create placemats for us to use at our Shabbat table!

SHABBAT CANDLESTICKS

Children designed and decorated their own "stained glass" candlesticks. Now they can welcome Shabbat at home!

TZEDAKAH BOX

We learned about the Jewish practice of giving tzedakah and children decorated their own tzedakah boxes. We will pool together the coins we earned to buy Chanukah gifts for needy families this December!

COMMUNITY SUKKAH

We learned about the history, rituals, symbols, smells, and tastes of Sukkot as we shared a meal in the sukkah. Next, we took on the mighty task of decorating it for the greater community to enjoy!

BANANA MENORAHS

For this project, the kids built edible Chanukah menorahs using bananas, pretzel sticks, and mini marshmallow "flames"!
